Sidmouth is a beautiful, unspoilt Regency Coastal Town, overlooking the sheltered waters of Lyme bay and gently nestling between the commanding red sand stone cliff`s of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site and surrounded by stunning country side. The town, has over the years managed to preserve it`s "Old World" charm without the intrusion of modern buildings, which would spoil its character and ambiance which has happened to so many traditional seaside towns.

The town has an abundance of fine examples from the Regency period and before, with many villa`s from the "Cottage Orne" period and over 500 buildings officially listed of historic interest, many with the distinctive " Blue Plaque".
